Soy vs. Paraffin?

A. The debate continues. Kreative Kraftwerks uses soy wax for most of their candles. Because soy wax is so soft and would require additives to make pillars, we have chosen to make some of our pillars out of palm wax. Both soy and palm waxes are 100% natural. Paraffin wax is a petroleum product. However, we do use paraffin wax to make our “fun” pillars. With paraffin, we are able to make rustic-looking pillars and chunk pillars. Neither soy nor palm wax can be used to achieve those appearances. There are many claims out there that one wax is better than the other; however, we believe it is merely a question of personal preference.
