If you don’t know who is hosting the site or any of the information about the domain name, you can go to a registrar, like Network Solutions, and use their “WHOIS” lookup to find more information about the hosting company, registrar (who will have the DNS information on record), and administrative contact. Network Solutions Whois: http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/ If, you are lucky enough that the domain name’s administrative contact information is your church, and not this “web guy” then you may be able to contact the registrar and hosting companies that the domain name was purchased from to get login credentials. If the “web guy” is listed as the contact, he is technically the “owner” of the domain name and you’ll have to get in touch with him to get the DNS hosting information and have the domain name transferred to you or your church.
