Sometimes when I try to search for a pun or make a submission I am told that the page cannot be refreshed without resending information. What am I doing wrong?
The problem that you’re describing seems to be due to a bug in the database. You aren’t doing anything wrong, and no damage will be done to your computer if you hit retry, so I suggest that you keep hitting the retry button until the form submits. Incidentally, if you encounter this problem while submitting a pun, you will eventually get a message saying that your pun could not be submitted due to it being a duplicate submission. Your joke was submitted the first time. It is only by pressing the retry button that you have made a duplicate submission. This bug is clearly annoying, but if you are patient enough to continue hitting retry and ignore the resulting error messages, it really shouldn’t affect the actual functionality of the site.
