Sometimes when I load images, the shape is distorted. Whats wrong?
WinImages is an aspect-correct program. It reads the DPI (dots-per-inch) settings from an image file and uses them to set the ratio of width to height for display. Some programs do not set these values in the image file correctly, and as a result, the image will appear distorted. The solution is to select “Change Image Info” from the menus and edit the DPI setting. If you want the change to be permanent, you’ll need to re-save the image. Keep in mind that with JPEG images, each time you save the image, it loses quality.
