Sometimes when I click on a story link it displays a “page not found” error message. What gives?
Sometimes a news story – particularly police and fire log items – are moved around in the morning by the Times newsroom, such as from a daily news category page to a breaking news category page on our Web site. The problem is that when a story is moved online its URL address changes and thus the link in the email newsletter is no longer correct and can no longer be found. While we have worked to minimize this problem, it does still occur from time to time. Please email us and we will correct it as soon as we can.
