Sometimes the key I press on my keyboard and the character that appears on my screen are not identical. Whats wrong?
This is due to the different kinds of key arrangements used “in the old days.” also known as “QWERTY” and “AZERTY” (referring to the key order in the first row of keys on your keyboard). The following keys will usually be exchanged: A and Q, Z and W, M and the key found to the right of the “N” key (AZERTY) to the right of the “L” key (QWERTY). When running a game in DOS mode, it might also be possible that no keyboard driver is loaded resulting in wrong key mappings. This is especially true for non-English keyboards with different key orders (eg. German keyboards with QWERTZ key order). Please refer to the troubleshooting guide at the end of this page for more information.
