• having problems at school, home, or with peers, • and having several of these problems for 2 weeks or more: • sad or irritable mood • loss or interest in things usually enjoyed • things aren’t as much fun • just don’t care about things • trouble falling or staying asleep, or sleeping too much • tired, fatigued, loss of energy • change in appetite: eating less or more than usual • difficulty concentrating or making decisions • feeling down on oneself, worthless, or very guilty • restlessness, or moving and talking very slowly • thoughts of death or harming oneself
