Sometimes I listen to RFL and its prodigiously rad, and other times your broadcast makes me question the validity of music as a human endeavor. What gives?
Good question. You see, RFL is dedicated to being a completely free radio station with the most diverse programming in the region. We play things on the air that you won’t hear anywhere else on the radio dial. The DJs have almost complete autonomy in the selection of music that goes over the airwaves, and every DJ has their own tastes. Corporate stations may play on the order of one or two thousand different songs a year, where a station like RFL will play hundreds of thousands a year. RFL aims to bring you music you haven’t heard before, and would miss out on otherwise. Take a look at our schedule and listen to a variety of our shows, and you’ll very likely find a DJ or two whose taste meshes with your own. While we hope this is the case, we would be even happier to hear that you had discovered something completely unknown to you previously, and come to love it.
