Sometimes I hear a greeting telling me that someone can not get the phone and sometimes I hear a greeting that says they are on the phone. Can I set up my voice mail to do that too?
The telephone system tells the voice mail system whether it transferred the call because your did not answer or if the line was busy. If it transfers because your line was busy the voice mail system plays greeting number 4. So record greeting number 4 as a “I am on the phone right now” greeting. Remember that after you record greeting number 4 to set one of the other greetings as your active greeting before you hang up.
This feature is commonly used in conjunction with the live-connect feature. To utilize call-result specific greetings, you will need to record different pre-call, busy, and no-answer greetings that are played for your callers. Due to the additional recording requirements for you to utilize this feature, it is not activated by default. However, there is no additional charge to have this feature activated. Please contact Voiceplus to request reconfiguration for call-result specific greetings.
