You are confusing homosexuality with being born a hermaphrodite. Even hermaphrodites have a genetic sexual orientation (they may have one or both external sexual organs but they only have one internal sexual organ). Homosexuality is something completely and entirely different and if it is truly genetic, then why don’t you see a larger number of homosexuals coming from families that have one homosexual in them…shouldn’t the characteristic be present throughout the family tree just like eye or hair color would be? My sister is a lesbian by choice. If she were a lesbian by birth it would not have taken her 30 years of life and 8 years of marriage (that ended in a very abusive manner) to decide that she was done with men and move on to women. It would have been part of her life since birth.

Nowhere in the Bible is it stated that homosexuality, as we understand it today, is a sin. In fact, just the opposite is true. The Bible condemns those who turn their back on God and partake in sexual pleasures that are unnatural for them. Homosexuality, as we understand it today, is a perfectly natural yearning for the same gender. In Roman 14:14 Paul states that in Christ NOTHING is unclean in and of itself. This one verse is why we can enjoy a bacon cheeseburger, or wear a nice cotton/poly blend. These things were part of the Jewish Purity Laws designed to set apart the Hebrew nation from the Gentiles. Paul states that just because the Gentile Christians do not follow all the Jewish Purity Laws does not mean they are “unclean”, it just means that they are different.
