The Tower of London is like a castle. It’s the building where people used to be brought to for execution so it’s a dark place. They have the crown jewels there. It’s an historic building with much stair climbing and staring at crowns, jewels, thrones, sceptres and reading about historic events. You can buy tickets outside and have a guided tour by the Beefeaters who will show you around or you can go on your own if you prefer. You can arrive by London underground to Tower Hill or by the river boat from Greenwich or from Westminster. The London dungeons is a completly fabricated amusement along the lines of a waxworks where actors dress up as grisly characters from the past and try and scare you. It’s really not suitable for young kids and is truly scary – a lot of it takes place in the pitch black. You can get there by coming out of London Bridge rail or tube and taking the Tooley Street exit. It can be pricey so try to get one of those WH Smith vouchers which gives you 2 for 1 or some
