Some years ago I purchased Coke shares and then the shares were split into CCA & some other company. Can you please advise me on what actually happened & what entitlements should I have received?
On 23 June, 1998, CCA made a return of capital of $3.86 per share. The $3.86 was applied to the capital of Coca-Cola Beverages plc (CCB). In effect, you received one CCB share for each CCA share which you held at that date. You were then given the choice of putting your CCB shares into a bookbuild conducted by UBS in July 1998. If you chose to do that, you would have received $4.28 for each of your CCB shares. If you did not elect to participate in the bookbuild and did not subsequently sell your CCB shares, CCB merged with Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Co (CCHBC) on 9 August 2000 and you should now hold a number of CCHBC shares. Please check with CCHBC’s share registry, Computershare on (61 3) 9415 5000 (press 0 for an operater), to determine whether you hold CCHBC shares.
