Some people in my clan are experiencing a random client “timeout” (or disconnect) while connected to my server. Does this happen to all TeamSpeak clients and do you have any suggestions?
The random client “timeout” issue is not common among all TeamSpeak users. However, the TeamSpeak Development Team is aware that some users are experiencing this issue and are investigating its cause. Cable modem users on shared networks during peak hours tend to experience this issue more often. This issue can also be caused by packet loss. To check your packet loss, connect to your TeamSpeak server and RIGHT-CLICK on your nickname then choose “GET CONNECTION INFO” and LEFT-CLICK. This will provide you with stats regarding your connection, including packet loss. If your packet loss is above 1% you may experience more “timeouts” or disconnects than usual. Most of our customers receive 0% to 1% packet loss during peak hours. The OSG Support Team also recommends making sure you have “auto-reconnect” checked when configuring a connection to your server. This will ensure that your TeamSpeak client will automatically reconnect to your server if you are disconnected for any reason. For detai
