Some of your flavours are labelled “single-fold”, “3-fold”, “10-fold”, etc. What does this mean?
This is used almost exclusively to describe the strength of natural vanilla flavours. The strength of a natural vanilla flavour ranges from its weakest at the single-fold variety, to its strongest at its 10-fold variety. At times the term is also applied to artificial vanilla flavours. In its artificial form, vanilla flavour can reach above the 10-fold level. For example, Embassy Flavours carries 16-fold and 32-fold varieties of artificial vanilla flavour. For more information on the strength of vanilla flavours, see our Learn about Flavours page.
