Some of our subsidiaries operate in local languages. How can XBRL GL facilitate reporting in multiple languages?

XBRL GL is designed so that operational and accounting data can be represented at the subsidiary (local) level of an organization. This means transactions occurring in local languages other than English can be represented in the metadata of XBRL GL and then presented to users in a language more familiar to them. Translations of the English labels and documentation in German, Polish, Portuguese, Canadian French, Japanese and Dutch, already available for previous versions of XBRL GL, are being updated to the Recommended release, and efforts are under way to complete the Spanish and Italian labels.
