Sodium Bicarbonate has been around forever, why is ORAPARx® any different than other products with Sodium Bicarbonate?
Sodium Bicarbonate will dissolve upon contact with saliva or water. Once dissolved, Sodium Bicarbonate becomes inactive. To be effective, Sodium Bicarbonate must remain in contact, in an active state, on the tooth and gum surface for approximately 10 minutes. This has not been achieved with Sodium Bicarbonate based products, until ORAPARx®.
