So, ive decided to keep a mood chart, what things are useful to document?
Making a mood chart is a great tool for your doctors when they’re trying to assess you for a mood disorder, especially something like bipolar disorder. I would suggest you go here: http://www.psycheducation.org/ In the box that is labeled “Mood Swings but not Manic” at the bottom you will see a clickable link that says “Printable Mood Chart”. Click it and open up the document. I personally think the chart is very small, but if you were to make a chart with the same set-up on a larger sheet (or multiple sheets) of paper then it would be a great way for you to chart your moods over a period of time. Or, you could keep a “diary” of moods and set up your entries something like this: – Date – Mood on a scale of 1-100, with 50 being “normal”, anything below 50 being “down” or “depressed”, and anything above 50 being “very happy”, “elated”, or at the very farthest end, “manic”. You might even want to draw a graph on a separate piece
