So, do the microbiota cause the consumption of foods that maintain their presence within the GI tract?
This is the essential question that needs to be answered. As yet there is no direct physical evidence to support this question other that immune responses by the body. After extensive search of the literature, it seems that this question has never before been asked. It is known that high consumption of foods containing refined sugar (sucrose) depletes the blood of calcium that is made up by robbing it from the bones, thus contributing to osteoporosis. Raw sugar does not do this. High fructose corn syrup appears to be converted very rapidly to cholesterol. However, each of these compounds supports fungal infection within the body, in the GI tract and in the reproductive tract. Happy feelings producing foods like chocolate and starches are subject to addictive eating patterns. The brain monitors all the nutrients and toxins in the body via the hypothalamus. It is the hypothalamus that causes a fever when it detects foreign compounds from certain types of bacteria and viruses. The hypotha
