Skin scrapes and all, did shooting in chronological order actually help?
RR: Yeah, that’s a luxury you’re rarely afforded. Shooting chronologically was amazing. You knew exactly where you were in the story and you knew exactly where you needed to go. It’s not to say when you don’t have that luxury it affects the process, it’s just more time consuming. Each night before I go to work the next day, I have to really say okay, if we’re out of order, here’s where we are and here’s where we’re going and here’s where we’ve just been. But with this film, all I needed to do was reflect on the day I just had and the day I’m about to have. Were you impressed or freaked out that you had four fans hardcore enough to watch “Buried” in coffins of their own at Fantastic Fest?
