In our opinion, the skin disorder labeled “rosacea” is one of the most misspelled disorders in the medical field. It is incorrectly labeled rosacia, rosecea, roseacea, roscea and a host of other names, but the correct spelling of this aggravating skin affliction is R-o-s-a-c-e-a. You will also hear this skin disorder called “acne” rosacea because its symptoms (e.g. whiteheads and pimples) closely resembling the widespread skin condition called Acne Vulgaris, meaning ‘common acne.’ But rosacia is quite a different animal . This skin disease generally is noticed on the skin on the face and is typified by periods of remission followed by flare-ups.
