Sir, what is the true state of PDP in Oyo State?
Prior to the coming of Ike Nwachukwu Committee to Oyo State, all the factions – Akinjide, my humble self, Lekan Balogun, Alao Akala and Adeojo – were invited to Abuja for interaction with the committee. At the end, the committee reported the outcome of the meeting to the national body, after which the national body took some fundamental decisions on Oyo State, mandating the committee to convey them to us. This brought about last year’s (November 5) meeting at the Government House, Agodi where an implementation committee made up of the people, all the factions, nominated was inaugurated. With the implementation committee in place, the kangaroo executive which Chief Adedibu illegally constituted without any congress automatically ceased to exist. INEC said in 2008 that there was no congress in Oyo State. So those that are parading themselves as executive members of PDP are illegal.
