The University has worked with UNISON to reanalyse a sample of roles in order to test the robustness of the HERA scheme and in particular the review stage of the appeals process. Generally, UNISON is satisfied with the outcome of this exercise and as a result has agreed to proceed to a re-ballot of its members. As a direct result of this work, additional support is being offered to all staff who are appealing their job evaluation i.e. HERA outcome. Furthermore, the University has agreed to commence the period of staff protection for CS, EO and LA graded staff on 1 January 2008, subject to a “yes” vote.
