Since the jamboree is so spread out can my son take his bicycle or skate board?
No, bicycles and skate boards are prohibited. There is limited bus service but the primary source of transportation is by foot. Scouts and leaders should begin a walking program way prior to the jamboree and be prepared to hike up to five miles. Last Jamboree, units arriving by bus were required to have a police department certify that all baggage and equipment was bomb-free No info yet. Arrival procedures are to be sent out in the Spring. We are in an age of electronics, at least the youth participants are. We do not want the Jamboree experience to compete with Gameboys, cell phones, etc. Will National or Subcamp have a written policy that we can lean on? There does not appear to be a national policy on electronics. However, the SubCamp electric infrastructure is limited. The SubCamp will not be able to allow Troop leaders or Scouts to charge their PCs, phones, etc. in the SCs outlets. AT&T will have recharging kiosks around the jambo (no info, yet on nearest location to SC17) for use
