Since the building of Fitchburg’s first public library is uncertain, what is the future of the Friends of the Fitchburg Library?
The FOFL will continue to receive donated books and hold their monthly used book sales at 2690 Research Park Drive. We are still hopeful that the Fitchburg citizens who voted 55%–45% in favor of building the library will be rewarded, and the Mayor and City Council will find a way to build the library. We are committed to help make that happen. We urge residents to continue to donate your used books, CDs, DVDs, games, and puzzles, either at our site across from Ancora Coffee or at one of our dropoff bins placed throughout the community. See www.FriendsOfFitchburgLibrary.com for a complete list of dropoff sites.
