For the purposes of the 2010 AIDU and reporting of distance education programs, the Commission is interested in major degree programs, not concentrations. When determining which distance education degree programs meet the new HLC definition, all course requirements (major, department, gen-ed) that are necessary to complete the degree need to be considered.
