The MFAA student body is composed of highly motivated students from across the city who major in the Arts. MFAA students can major in Band, Orchestra, Classical Guitar, Vocal Music, Visual Arts, Dance, Theatre, and Technical Theatre and work with outstanding faculty and staff dedicated to the arts. In addition to the creative and stimulating learning environment and coursework, a prescribed set of performances/exhibitions in each of four major strands support the development of exceptional students. Exciting partnerships with higher education, arts organizations, and professional artists provide learning opportunities for our students on a weekly basis. UT’s College of Fine Arts adopted the Fine Arts Academy and the benefits are numerous. The work of the academy is supported by generous in-kind gifts and donations to 501C3s administered by the Austin Community Foundation to support the MFAA.
