Since Abe Vigoda started six years ago, what has changed the most about the bands dynamic?
Our sound has always been changing from album to album. There are grand differences between each one. It’s growth. What we’re listening to has a heavy hand in it. I see it as this creative arc. We have a new member now. That was the biggest change I would say because he takes a heavy hand in the writing more than our previous drummer. Where’s the arc heading? It’s going to continue to get more complex emotionally and musically. We’re always trying to sound as big as possible so I don’t see us holding back any time soon. We’re all dedicated and love what we’re doing. We’re in a good place now. There’s no chance that we’ll stop. Abe Vigoda opens for Vampire Weekend on March 29 at the LC Pavilion. Doors open at 7 p.m.
