Since a frog has no teeth to chew, how can large prey be swallowed?

Most frogs do have teeth, but they are very small and only used in gripping prey. Large prey items are usually seized in the jaws first, and then stuffed into the throat using the hands. They then force the food down by retracting their eyes into the oral cavity, and by flexing the head down towards the belly. I’ve always enjoyed watching tree frogs swallow large crickets; they grasp them with both hands, like they’re holding a big sandwich.
