SMOKE handles 12 different road classes. The /ROAD CLASSES/ section of the MCODES file is used to indicate valid road classes in your inventory. If your inventory does not contain any SCCs with other road class codes, then you only need the standard 12 classes. MOBILE6 has five different road types: freeway, arterial, local, freeway ramp, and none; none is used for emission processes that are not road dependent. The User’s Guide provides a table that shows how the 12 SMOKE road types map to the 4 MOBILE6 types.
