Shouldn’t we try to get the Ohio Legislature to step up and improve funding of public education in Ohio?

Absolutely. The problem for all Ohio Districts is that a campaign to reform how Ohio funds education that starts today, even if it succeeds, will not have an impact on our schools in time to save them for 2005-2006 and probably not for 2006-2007. That is why we are on the ballot now. State funding refom is the long term solution to the crisis, but only local citizens can save the schools now.
