Shouldn vegans avoid organically-produced food?

Q Hi Uncle Dave. I am a vegan and like you would prefer to support organic farming methods, but, I’m in a bit of a quandary because certain fertilizers, e.g. blood & bone, chicken and other animal manure, and Charlie Carp, are all certified organic fertilizers. I do try and grow some of my own vegetables (with difficulty as I live on a bush block) but, inevitably, have to buy many products that I have no way of finding out what fertilizers were used in the growing stage. Surely I can’t be the only vegan who has this problem. I’d like to hear your views on this. A I am a vegan too and I agree with you entirely – fertilisers are an issue for vegans. But the way I look at it is this: If you had to cut out every animal product from your diet and lifestyle and yet live in our current society you’d have to basically kill yourself. Unfortunately, virtually everything we do involves animal products to some degree: the computer I am using to write this to you contains animal products; TV, films
