Answer..Yes , recent efforts by the provinces to limit the cost of generic drugs to a fixed percentage of the cost of brand name drugs will help somewhat , but, trends in oncology drugs (eg. development of pills that can be taken outside the hospital instead of infused in hospital) and the growing number of expensive biologic drugs will more than offset any generic drug saving.
