That has been tried repeatedly for the past 20 years without success. The GOP is riddled with RINO’s (Republican In Name Only) who have a “big tent” mentality that puts appealing to the media and reaching across the aisle ahead of retaining conservative principles or values. Trying to change the GOP is like drilling holes in water because they don’t stand for anything except getting elected. AZ Senator John McCain, FL Governor Charlie Crist, SC Senator Lindsey Graham and PA’s Senator Arlen Specter are perfect examples of this malady.
