Should young offenders be sent in the Army for some discipline?
The ones I know and I do know some because I worked in partnership with the Probation Service and taught young offenders would not fit in with the arm. I am all for them being disciplined and sent to a boot camp but would not want our fighting force to comprise of the useless types I have met. They wouldn’t have the understanding of duty and camaraderie that it takes to be successful in the armed forces. I dont’ believe you can change someone 100% by the time they get to the age of 17 or 18. Some of them really are bad all the way through.
