Should you purchase and use a Microvision Scanner with AssetTrakker?
You do not have to purchase a barcode scanner to use AssetTrakker! However … We spent a great deal of time and expense to fully implement scanner use and think you will save time (money) with one. It makes doing an annual audit of assets easier and faster. The scanner’s ‘batch’ memory capability is used also to aid in search and edit functions. For some special applications such as ‘tool tracking’ the scanner is invaluable. This software would never have been developed, even though our customers repeatedly asked for it, without Microvision introduction of their batch scanner. Until then the only choice was to use an expensive scanner that, we felt, priced an asset management solution too high. Our business is based upon providing the highest possible value for customers and the scanner plays a major part in delivering this value.
