Should we make contact during a trial separation?
A trial separation is just that, a trial. no contact for a month so he could fully clear his head. I suggest clearing yours as well. My partner and I of the same 4 1/2 years just took a trial separation over the holiday break of 2 weeks. Due to the holidays, we did see each other and spent time together, but it clouded his judgment towards being with me. He’s still the same man I lived with before the separation. Give it a no contact for at least the first 2-3 weeks and then start slowly letting him back in the 4th week. I think it’s best to clear your head as well because although you love him deeply, you have to make sure this is what you want to pursue as well. You are fully capable of making up your own mind and if this guy wants kids before its too late and he has never lived with anyone before you, he has unrealistic ideas of still finding someone else to fulfill those ideas.
