Should we in the west take direct action against terrorist training camps in Pakistan?
The relationship Western government have with Pakistan is a huge balancing act. The majority of the populace in Pakistan support radical Islamic terrorists such as Bin Laden, but the Pakistani government has been working, with some degree, with Western governments in helping to find and either capture or kill those Islamic terrorists. So if the government leans to far to the West, the government risks not only being overthrown, but being replaced by a much more Islamic government that not only would not cooperate with Western governments, but possibly provide more support for Islamic terrorist groups. If the government leans to far to the Islamic terrorists, they risk alienation from the West. So it’s quite a balancing act that the Pakistani government has been trying to do, and given the situation, they’ve been doing the best that they can. I don’t support many of the policies and actions that the Pakistani government does, but keep in mind that Pakistan doesn’t have control over what
