We celebrate labor and death so why not crap? I think that Random Crap Day should be held on January 7th since that is my birthday. What better day to celebrate Random Crap than on the king of random crap’s birthday? That could then function as the day on which we take all of the random crap that we got for Christmas back to the store and exchange it for some new crap. We could rename my hometown Crapville and build a big statue of me so that people could make pilgrimages and leave crappy gifts for their king. I LIKE IT!
I’m not sure if we need a random crap day, especially since I don’t know how to shop or not shop for it, but if we do have a random crap day I think it should be a different day every year and celebrated by a different country every year or so. It needs a religious icon from a different religion yearly and something cute for the kids, maybe a furry superhero that protects children who’ve not been too naughty from random crap and has his/her own cartoon. The real question isn’t do we need one so much as how to market one.
