Should we go to the olympics in China?
I am from the United States and I believe it is our duty to the people of China to participate in the Oympics. Boycotting the Olympics would only show the citizens of China that the world is turning there back on them. A better tool for spreading democracy than all of these costly invasions we undertake is representation of freedom. Our Olympic teams carry more responsibility than, I believe, even they realize. If done correctly, our athletes can be the light at the end of the tunnel. The point is to go to China with the most charismatic, joyful attitude and personality one can muster. We need to show the Chinese people that we are not tyrants. We need to show them that our democracy gives us freedom, happiness, and a better way of life. Let me put it this way.
