Should we be a bit wary of the Halfords adverts ?

The staff in the TV ads will be actors. Believe me when I worked at Woolworth’s head office wanted to make a training video for new starters to watch. Our store was chosen as the one they’d use in the video. But did they let us serve customers and be filmed? NO they did not. They got an actor and actress to play the role of staff member and customer. It’s not like the video was being broadcast to the nation, in which case you may need an equity card. No this was being used as an in store training video. No wonder Woolworth’s went bust if this is what they spent their money on. Have you seen the adverts for Car Craft? A couple just turn up and say we need a new car. Guy takes them over and says this is one of our “green” cars. And they we’ll take it. What? Without even knowing what make it is, or what the engine size is, or what mpg it gets. Adverts are ridiculous.

*Sadly, we had to bring back ads too. Hopefully more targeted.
