Should vaccination for infectious childhood diseases be made compulsory?

Yes, for several reasons. They get the diseases and pass them onto babies who have not been vaccinated yet or to senior citizens whose immunity has worn off or to people with auto immune deficiencies and often when they get the diseases the taxpayers end up paying for their medical treatment because a lot of the people who do not get their children vaccinated are lower income and qualify for Medicaid. The only way you can eliminate a disease is to get everyone vaccinated like we did with smallpox and in this country, polio.
