Should US congress mandate vehicles sold in our country be E85 compliant?

E85 is a scam to buy votes from the corn producing states. It does nothing to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, lowers the gas mileage of vehicles and siphones off tax dollars given for each gallon of ethanol made that might or might not be sold in the US. Yes, the US government will pay manufacturers to make the ethanol here, but then they are free to sell the ethanol to Europe where it can fetch a better price.

No!!!!! Not until they come up with an inexpensive source of ethanol, at least. Also, there will be NO competition in the marketplace unless there is a mandate that vehicles CAN’T use petroleum based fuel. The oil companies control the government to a certain extent.
