Should Toys Based on Violent PG-13 Movies Be Marketed to Kids? One reason is that kids want to see movies based on toys, superheroes, and familiar books; therefore, we cover them to inform parents. Some movies are fine for older kids or tweens and teens, but not younger ones, so we try to cover the full spectrum. Also, these movies are heavily marketed to kids through kids’ meals, toys, commercials, coloring books, and so on.
