I have had a number of folks question advertising at PLP and I am thrilled that folks have an interest. PLP is really a social site, but we do have minimal advertising opportunities. We do have strict rules on spamming and advertising; however, certain members have either sponsored PLP in donating gifts for contests, have partnered with PLP by advertising our site on their site or they have paid fees for advertising here and that is why you may see some forms of advertising (such as FURminator). There are a couple of options to truly advertise on PLP and nominal fees are associated with them. The fee for the ad spot on the right hand panel that shows up on every page is dependent upon the size of the ad. For the size you see where it says “your AD here” which is 160X160, it’s $5 per month. For a size that is 160 X 80, it’s $4 per month and last but not least, for a size that is 160 X 40, it is $3.
