On the contrary, there are many legal uses for P2P downloads. Game patches (World of Warcraft for example – Not that I play it) uses P2P for it’s hefty patches, and in answer to your question, I think it should be the artist (or any company “hired” by the artist) to make sure their music is not being downloaded illegally. There are certain songs out there that have copywrite protection, and (I confess I do not know how it works) if it thinks you are trying to copy it, it will literally fry the device, whether it be a PSP, IPOD or computer, depending where you are trying to do stuff with it anyway, that was just my uneducated opinion. It is a bit of an open ended question so I guess no one can really fault me.
