Should there be a skate park built in Magherafelt?
I think this is a great idea. We are presently having a skate-park built where I live, despite the protestations of a section of the community that “it’ll encourage more hoodlums and drunks into town”. Actually, as was pointed out at a public meeting, skaters don’t drink or do drugs because it upsets their balance and detracts from their enjoyment of their sport. That’s how blinkered some people are, though. I say go for it and keep the pressure up.
