Some of these answers just prove what I’ve been saying since I got here on Answers: Vince McMahon has trained people to want “characters” and skits over actual wrestling. People here actually care so much about entrance music that they wail and howl when one wrestler changes his or her music. The only reason for the 3-5 minute entrances for each wrestler is so that Vince can emphasize what “cool” characters they have in the WWE, to sell another foam finger or set of dog tags. This is another thing TNA does better than the WWE. Their ring isn’t sitting a half-mile away from the back. By the time you pick up the remote to change the channel or fast forward through an entrance, TNA wrestlers are already in the ring ready to go. Between fast-forwarding through ring entrances, pointless promos, and endless replays of what happened last week, a 2-hour RAW takes about 70 minutes to watch. Same for Smackdown.
