Should the WWE have left CM Punk as a technical Wrestler?
Today’s “WWE fans” don’t really understand what “technical wrestling” is. If it’s not a couple of guys just punching and kicking each other, or a couple of spot monkeys hitting random “spots” the “WWE fans” lose interest. Even William Regal, as technically sound as anybody walking the planet, throws in a lot of brawling into his matches. In the WWE, pure “scientific” wrestling matches get booed. The “WWE fans” don’t care about technical wrestling; they just want to see two guys punch each other. If Punk wrestled his “indy” style in the WWE, his performances would get booed. The fans don’t understand technical wrestling and his efforts (and skill) would be wasted on them. In pro wrestling, their are really four styles. Puroresu, Lucha, United States catch as catch can, and the WWE. The “WWE fans” only want to see the WWE style of punching and kicking, and high-flying spot monkeys. Punk has incorporated the WWE style into his own style and come up with something that is entertaining and
