Should the United States adopt English as its national language?

Only if we hope to be able to communicate with each other in the future. Multiculturalism is great but only if there’s a common language that everyone understands. L.A. County prints its ballots in 102 languages. The people in East L.A. can’t communicate with the people in Koreatown. The Armenian speakers in Glendale can’t communicate with the Vietnamese speakers in Monterey Park. There’s a reason why the Tower of Babel was never finished. We doom ourselves when we pretend each half mile radius of a major city can speak a different language and possess no ability to communicate with each other.
