Should the Ukrainian famine be declared a holocaust?
Hello Mistoday. While it should be declared as such, I doubt it will be. It’s not politically correct to admit such things about about a government we technically were allied with. The Soviet Union officially became allied in 1941 against NAZI Germany a mere 8 years after the Holodomer . It would be a case of political guilt by association. Now with the Communist Party again puffing Russian up against the world, The U.S., NATO and the U.N are all too busy trying to make nice with them to open a new 75 year old can of worms. The Jewish Holocaust only got the exposure it did because : 1) it was carried out by our vanquished enemy (good post war PR). 2) the large and influential Jewish population of the U.S. at the time and 3) our troops and other Allied Forces actually witnessed the results of it.
